"Starting today (16th December 20220), Waymo is opening our ride-hailing service between Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and Downtown Phoenix to members of the public. The service is available at the 44th Street and Washington PHX Sky Train® Station and is the only autonomous airport service of its kind in the world, available round the clock with no human driver."

Cruise

Looking to the next chapter, our goal is to resume driverless operations. As we continue working to rebuild trust and determine the city where we will scale driverless, we also remain focused on continuing to improve our performance and overall safety approach. To that end, Cruise is resuming manual driving to create maps and gather road information in select cities, starting in Phoenix. This work is done using human-driven vehicles without autonomous systems engaged, and is a critical step for validating our self-driving systems as we work towards returning to our driverless mission. This will help inform where we ultimately will resume driverless operations.

Sun City

May Mobility, a leader in the development and deployment of autonomous vehicle (AV) technology, today announced the launch of the company’s first driverless service for riders on public roads in Sun City, Arizona. May Mobility’s rider-only vehicles will operate daily during the week without an operator sitting in the driver's seat.
